First Home Owners Grant
The NSW Government provides eligible purchasers with a $7,000.00 grant to buy their first home. The value of the home must not exceed $750,000. In addition to the Grant a further Supplement has also been introduced by the NSW government for purchasers of a newly constructed home. A summary of the Grant and Supplement is set out below:

Do I Qualify?
To be eligible for the Grant and Supplement you must satisfy a number of requirements including:

At least one applicant must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident.
|

|
Each applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
|
 |
|
Each applicant and their spouse must not have previously owned residential property in Australia before July 2000.
|
 |
|
Each applicant and their spouse must not have previously owned and occupied a property in Australia (at any time) for a continuous period of 6 months.
|
 |
|
One applicant will occupy the property as their principal place of residence for a continuous period of six months within 12 months of settlement of the purchase.
